Hist by Bridget

C.J Dennis wrote the poem Hist, was published in a book called “a book for kids”. Hist was written in 1921.

The main theme of the poem is about people going on a bush walk at night and about all the animals at night and how everyone should be quiet or they will wake up the animals.

The poem sets a scene of the bush at night and all the animals around. I was extremely delighted by this poem and how it sets a scene and all the different funny noises it has.
